Three-arm cylinder and barrel hone. The honing finger can be clamped in standard drill chucks. By pressing the three arms together, the diameter is reduced and the tool can be plunged into the workpiece to be honed. Thanks to the joints, the tool automatically adjusts to the surface to be machined.
However, if there are seizure marks, heavy scoring or traces of corrosion on the cylinder wall, the cylinder should be drilled out to the nearest dimension.
