A name that commits to quality

The traditional Italian two-wheeler specialist Ducati was founded in 1926 by the brothers of the same name. However, 22 years after the company was founded, it was split up and from then on, Ducati Meccanica and Ducati Elettrotecnica each operated as independent companies. However, both companies subsequently co-operated closely, shared company know-how and constantly developed it further. Finally, in 1985, Ducati Elettrotecnica and the Zanussi Elettromeccanica-Generators Division merged to form the now well-known manufacturer of ignition components Ducati Energia. The company currently has around 1,250 employees at 9 locations around the world. In addition to products for motorbikes and other two-wheelers, the company also specialises in alternators and wind power generators as well as electric vehicles and the associated charging stations. Last but not least, the company is involved in control systems for electrical networks and automation systems for the transport sector. However, ignition coils, capacitors and other moped components are still an integral part of the internationally active company's portfolio.
