Powerful carburettors for everyday use and racing from Dell'Orto
Dell'Orto - a manufacturer's name for carburettors could hardly sound more melodious and beautiful to the ears of moped enthusiasts. The Italian manufacturer's carburettor technology and models can look back on a long tradition and enjoy cult status. Of course, moped carburettors from the traditional Italian manufacturer are used to power Piaggio mopeds, which also come from Italy. But it is not only Piaggio Ciao or Piaggio Bravo mopeds that are supplied with the vital air-fuel mixture by Dell'Orto carburettor technology; the manufacturer has also made a name for itself with powerful racing carburettors. That's why our range naturally includes carburettor models, air filter sets, float chambers and many other accessories from the Italian carburettor technology specialist.
Carburettors, air filters and spare parts for your moped
It is not only Piaggio that relies on the powerful and reliable carburettors from Dell'Orto for the standard equipment of its mopeds; major two-wheeler manufacturers such as Moto Guzzi and Ducati have also traditionally equipped their bikes with carburettor technology from the Italian manufacturer for decades. Even if nobody is interested in motorbikes, this clearly shows where the journey with a Dell'Orto carburettor is heading - towards V-Max and a little further. If you prefer to travel faster on your moped, you can hardly avoid the manufacturer's tuning carburettors. But even if you prefer to take it easy and live the slow riding culture, you will benefit from the reliability of Italian engineering and the robust technology that characterises Dell'Orto carburettors.
Racing manufacturer with a long tradition
The Italian manufacturer now has almost 90 years of experience in the construction of carburettors. Founded in 1933 by Gaetano Dell'Orto and his sons, the company still specialises in the manufacture of carburettor models and injection systems for combustion engines. It all started with a simple model, which was named Rex. The first Dell'Orto carburettor was developed and presented in 1933, and when the first racing carburettor was introduced in 1940, the Italian manufacturer celebrated its entry into motor racing. A connection that continues to this day. From the 1950s until well into the 1980s, the Italians were world leaders in carburettor production. Well-known brands such as Moto Guzzi, Laverda, Aprilia, MV Agusta and BMW put their trust in the reliability of the mixture preparation from Italy. But the engines of chainsaws, generators and many well-known automotive brands were and are also supplied with air-fuel mixtures by carburettors from Dell'Orto.
Robust and powerful carburettor technology for your moped from Dell'Orto
Moped carburettors and racing carburettors from the traditional Italian manufacturer are known for their robust and precise design. They provide absolutely reliable service for years and under all weather conditions. Another feature is the simple technology, so that even less experienced mechanics can carry out carburettor repairs and adjustments independently and without help. The Italian manufacturer is always on the lookout for new solutions. All products have been developed in close co-operation with engine manufacturers since the company was founded. Unfortunately, simple mechanical carburettor models for two-wheelers with two-stroke engines are no longer being developed today. But don't worry, in our range you will find suitable original and reproduction parts in OEM quality to repair your carburettor or equip your moped with a new model.
