Petrol taps and fuel filters from experienced specialists
If you opt for a Karcoma fuel filter or fuel tap, you will receive a technically sophisticated product that impresses with its high functionality and durability. This is because the manufacturer has acquired a great deal of expertise over the past decades, during which it has worked as an original equipment manufacturer for numerous two-wheeler and car manufacturers. In close cooperation with various vehicle manufacturers, Karcoma continues to develop its products to this day, thereby ensuring constant optimisation. In addition, the manufacturer established both a quality and an environmental management system several years ago. This gives the company a significant advantage over its competitors and ensures the first-class quality of its products while at the same time ensuring that production is environmentally friendly. The company has also been honoured several times as supplier of the year by well-known customers, which also speaks in favour of the high-quality products from Karcoma.
From bicycle workshop to international original equipment manufacturer in the automotive industry
At the beginning of the company's history, the manufacturer Karcoma had very little to do with combustion engines, but it did have a lot to do with two-wheelers. The company was founded in 1922 as a repair workshop for bicycles in the small German town of Gerlingen near Stuttgart. A few years later, the company began to develop and produce pedals and air pumps for bicycles. Finally, in 1929, the first fuel drain cock for combustion engines was developed. Just one year later, fuel taps were also produced, which can be seen as the forerunner of every petrol tap available from the brand today. A further 20 years later, petrol filters were finally added to the Karcoma portfolio. These were plastic fuel filters, as are still generally used on mopeds today. In the meantime, various other companies were taken over so that the product range could be expanded to include anti-theft devices for motor vehicles and decompression valves.
